The Ground Below

The Ground Below

A handful of earth contains thousands of lives, some that may already be moving as we hold this treasure, but many more lives in the form of seeds and minerals that are potent to create such unimaginable consequences. The perpetual becoming of topography can be the guide to our sensitivity towards water, land resources, soils and plants. The global consequences of our activities are becoming more and more clearly understood as we become better equipped with the tools of measurement.

The Ground Below is the name of this manuscript because every day we become more and more aware of what we do not know about the ‘ground’. I believe the art of building is an ongoing research project and the ‘ground’ still holds many mysteries for us to discover.
