A duplex loft in ‘Le Fabrique’
Two levels if this reinforced concrete industrial loft building built in 1923 were connected with a new stairway curved in the direction of movement between the two levels. The exposed concrete beams, large industrial windows and high ceilings were retained to keep the industrial character of the space. Between the exterior windows facing South, insertion of carefully placed mirror panels create an illusion of continuity and lightness.
